Cousin stuns Cameroon
Filed Thu 14 Jan

A goal from Daniel Cousin helped Gabon to a shock 1-0 win over Cameroon in Group D

Hull City striker Daniel Cousin was the hero for Gabon as he scored the only goal of the game on 17 minutes. Cameroon failed to clear their lines properly and Cousin went clear to slot the ball past Carlos Kameni.

Cameroon, who were led by Inter Milan's former Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o, failed to turn possession into goals as they slumped to an embarrassing defeat. And despite laying siege to the Gabon goal, they could not find a way through.

Gabon played out a famous victory, even though they only had three real shots on goal all match. A result which leaves Cameroon with an uphill battle to qualify for the next phase with Zambia next up for Paul Le Guen's men.
